Tallaght Men's Shed
Tallaght Men's Shed is a community of local men who meet together to share their experience, skills and knowledge with each other and the community. Tallaght Men's Shed members work for the betterment of the local community and to help reduce the sense of isolation that men may experience throughout their lives.
Men's Sheds provide a venue for a programme of self-help that is primarily aimed at retired men whose interests may be similar in nature and who are willing to participate in activities that would be of benefit to themselves and others in the community.
Interests vary and may include any or all of the following: woodworking, gardening, socialising, cultural, eucational, outings, day trips, arts & crafts, befriending or just have a chat and a cuppa.
Anybody interested is welcome to come along to any of our meetings and have a chat and a cuppa and absolutely no commitment is required. Just drop in any time between 11am and 4pm on any weekday.
The men from the Tallaght Men's Shed have worked on a wide variety of projects in the Tallaght area. They have made numerous items the local Tallafest, made tree stakes for the Tree of Hope movement, fairy doors for a forest trail through Tymon Park, and many many more. If you have a worthy project please contact the Tallaght Men's Shed and if they can help they certainly will.
