![]() Tallaght Litter Mugs October 2017 Clean-upOn an overcast bank holiday Saturday ten Litter Mugs, including our newest volunteer, Colette, turned out for the monthly clean up event in Sean Walsh Park in Tallaght . The fantastic work carried out by SDCC parks staff in recent weeks within the park was supplemented by the efforts of our volunteers on the day. The park is looking better than ever and we welcome the latest addition by SDCC of a beautiful weeping cedar near the Sensory Garden. While litter levels in the park have been significantly reduced since the Litter Mugs began we still extracted a Smyths shopping trolley, two car wheels, a child's bicycle along with the usual haul of plastics, cans, bottles, etc. And on a morel positive note, one of our volunteers spotted an otter in Whitestown Stream in October which indicates that the water quality in the park continues to improve. We always welcome new volunteers, so if you'd like to get involved please see the details of our next clean-up event here.
If you'd like to help out some time please sign up for our monthly email notification of all forthcoming events. ![]()
