![]() Litterati - Worldwide Movement to Control LitterLitter is everywhere.
Drinks cans and bottles, plastic bags, and cigarette butts litter the
global environment, choke wildlife, and threaten our planet. Litterati is tackling this problem one piece of litter at a time.
Geotags provide insight into problem areas, while keywords identify the most commonly found brands and products. This data will be used to work with companies and organisations to find more sustainable solutions.
Jeff Kirschner's litter collecting app is helping to track the types of litter and the brands that are causing problems right across the globe. The Litter Mugs support this initiative. You can download the Litterati app at the App Store or at Google Play . Watch Jeff Kirschner's TED Talk about LitteratiSean Walsh Memorial park is a one-of-a-kind green spot in Tallaght. There is a children's playground located between two ponds that comprises two separated areas. The junior section is compact whereas the senior area is spacious and suitable for older children. Beside the playground, there is a sensory garden that hosts a Tree of Hope. ![]() Unfortunately some parts of this gorgeous park are plagued by large amounts of rubbish and litter. Our group of hard-working Litter Mugs meet once per month to conduct an extensive clean up of the walking areas, green spaces, and the water ways. We are also looking for new volunteers to give a helping hand. If you wish to volunteer just email us or follow this link to get details of the next Sean Walsh Park clean-up.
